Paper Title
ESSENCE OF QUALITY IN LATEX COMPOUNDING

Abstract
Medical gloves are playing an important role in preventing potentially infectious microorganisms and hazardous substances in healthcare settings. Their role became pivotal, being widely adopted across society as a preventive measure. These products are considered major personal protection equipment (PPE) and emphasize their role as infection prevention tools. NR latex is widely used in all glove manufacturing units in India. It is considered one of the most important polymer materials in the process of glove making. In glove manufacturing units 60% of dry rubber content is used. Fillers are used to improve the stiffness of Natural rubber and it reduces the production cost. The fillers used with Natural rubber is calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Calcium carbonate amount in rubber matrices is very essential to keep the required limits of specification of physico-mechanical properties in gloves. In this study, samples are prepared by using 30 phr CaCO3 loading level. Tensile strength, elongation at break and force at break were investigated as per the physio-mechanical properties of each batch sample after aging and before aging conditions. Samples were chosen at different batches; each batch took 13 samples. Thirty (30phr) CaCO3 loading level gives the best tensile strength of unaged and aged. The results of the analysis indicate that the 30 phr CaCO3 loading level can be considered as the optimum CaCO3 loading level compared to the specifications of the physico-mechanical properties of natural rubber latex disposable gloves. Mentioned all the parameters are complied as per the requirements of the standard. Keywords - Centrifuged Latex, Dispersion, Elongation At Break, Force At Break And Tensile Strength, And Standard
