A REVIEW ON OBJECT TRACKING PRINCIPLE FOR AUTOMATED GUIDED VEHICLES

Abstract
The last decade witnessed an important trend towards improving vehicle functionalities to make them less pollutant, less consuming, more comfortable and highly safe. The challenge of today is therefore to add sophisticated functionalities which combined with sensing and communications systems would allow the vehicle to operate autonomously and safely. Significant advances in designing Automated Guided Vehicles (aka. AGVs), have recently been emphasized in order to increase their readiness in autonomous operations. Automated road following and lane keeping are among these operations most often addressed in automobile theory. This paper lays out the signal following and object tracking feature of the automatic guided vehicle with its design and development. Keywords - Automated Guided Vehicles, Motion detection, Real-time system, Pattern recognition.
