Exploring Parent-Child Mediated Learning Interactions and Parental Well-Being In Families with Children Diagnosed with ASD: A Comprehensive Mixed-Methods Approach
Abstract
This study explores the impact of parent-child mediated learning interactions (PCMLI) on parental well-being in families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Anchored in the Mediated Learning Experience (MLE) framework, the study highlights how structured parental guidance enhances cognitive and emotional development. ASD caregiving challenges parental well-being, leading to stress and fatigue. While PCMLI-based support programs are emerging, research remains limited. Using a mixed-methods design, this study aims to inform interventions that improve family life.
