REDISCOVERING THE DIVINE SUNRISE ENERGY: HEART–MIND SYNCHRONIZATION THROUGH NATURAL COHERENCE, RHYTHMIC BREATHING AND HEART RATE REGULATION

Abstract
Sunrise has inspired civilizations for millennia from ancient Egypt to India. To explore the potential of this ancient yet under examined practice, measurements were conducted on several weekdays before, during, and after sunrise. A self-developed ESP32-based system recorded solar spectral characteristics, magnetic field magnitude and ambient temperature, while commercial devices measured biophysical parameters (heart rate, HRV and heart coherence). The results show a distinctive pattern: pulse rate rises sharply during sunrise to settle down after wards, often reaching values lower than recorded at dawn. Heart coherence nearly doubles on average, while peak coherence may increase up to threefold. In the frequency domain, the amplitude of dominant HRV frequency triples, indicating enhanced physiological synchronization around 0.1 Hz. Additionally, during sunrise, a natural 0.08 Hz rhythmic breathing pattern can emerge. This work shows that sungazing meditative practices enhance heart coherence, induce rhythmic breathing, and promote a lower, more stable heart rate during cognitive and post-activity states such as car driving and mental work revealing a divine treasure of human-nature interaction, worthy of deeper exploration.
