Paper Title
Ethical Frameworks for Ai-Enhanced Pedagogy: Safeguarding Human Values in Educational Innovation

Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Education—central to the vision of Education 4.0—offers transformative potential for personalized learning, adaptive assessment, and curriculum innovation. However, this rapid evolution also raises critical ethical concerns that demand rigorous examination. This pilot study investigates the ethical dimensions of AI-enhanced pedagogy within CBSE-aligned secondary classrooms, emphasizing the safeguarding of human dignity, fairness, transparency, and the agency of both teachers and learners. Employing a mixed-methods approach that includes literature review, policy analysis, and empirical data from student and teacher surveys, the research identifies key ethical principles—fairness, accountability, inclusivity, emotional intelligence, and professional autonomy—that must guide AI integration in educational practice. The pilot study highlights risks such as algorithmic bias, data privacy violations, and the erosion of teacher and learner agency, and proposes a values-based framework for ethical AI adoption. Findings underscore the necessity of educator training, participatory design, and culturally responsive implementation to ensure that AI serves as a tool for empowerment rather than control. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for policymakers, curriculum leaders, and instructional designers to embed ethical safeguards and promote responsible innovation in AI-driven education.
