Paper Title
Integrating Green Human Resource Management and Technological Innovation for Organizational Sustainability: A Multidisciplinary Approach
Abstract
With a rapidly changing digital world and the growing environmental issues, organizations are finding it necessary to redefine their approach to human resource management in order to create sustainability. Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and technology innovation have provided a dynamic route to organizational sustainability by harmonizing the human capital practices to meet the environmentally friendly and digital demands of organizations. In the paper, the researcher discusses how digital solutions including artificial intelligence (AI), e-HRM systems, HR analytics, and online learning platforms can improve green HR practices including recruitment and training, as well as performance management and rewards, with minimal resource consumption and environmental impact.
Taking a conceptual approach, the research formulates a framework of multidisciplinary concept that brings together GHRM and technology innovation with the perspective of the Resource-Based View (RBV) and the Dynamic Capabilities Theory. According to the framework, GHRM is technology enabled and the three concepts (green capabilities and employee engagement) increase the triple bottom line of sustainability, which include environmental, social, and economic performance.
The findings underscore the fact that the implementation of human resource practices and digital technologies do not only guarantee the sustainability of business activities but also increase competitiveness in the long-term perspective and credibility among stakeholders.
The paper is topical to the contemporary discourse about sustainable management because it provides the strategic congruence of the GHRM and technological innovation as a force to organizational sustainability.
