Paper Title
ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR AUTISM SUPPORT
Abstract
This project proposes Adaptive Technology for Autism Support, an AI-powered cross-platform application designed for children with ASD in the age range of 7-9 years. Realtime facial and speech emotion recognition, webcam-based eye tracking, and sensory-friendly therapeutic games are integrated to foster emotional, cognitive, and social skill development. A personalized virtual avatar navigates children through interactive learning activities while adapting to the child’s real-time emotional responses. Caregiver dashboards and features related to progress tracking enhance the role of parents concerning safety monitoring. The application is built using Flutter and Firebase, focused on machine learning, computer vision, and ethical design principles for security, non-invasiveness, and inclusivity aimed at enabling independence, emotional regulation, and accessible digital therapy among ASD-diagnosed children.
