Paper Title
Wheel chair Control Using Smart Phone and IoT Platform

Abstract
Smart wheelchairs integrate sensors, assistive technologies, and embedded controllers to provide safe and independent mobility for individuals with physical disabilities. This work presents a low-cost IoT-based smart wheelchair built around the ESP32 development platform, integrating joystick and voice-based control, obstacle detection, and fall detection. Unlike traditional Arduino-based systems, the ESP32 offers built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, significantly reducing hardware complexity while enabling robust IoT connectivity for alerting caregivers. The system targets affordability and ease of maintenance while offering multi-modal control and essential safety features suitable for users in low- and middle-income settings. Keywords - Smart wheelchair, Internet of Things (IoT), ESP32, obstacle detection, fall detection, voice control, joystick.
